Please join us in congratulating Officer Jacob McMillen on his graduation from the Southwest Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (SWILEA)! Graduation day may have come with cloudy skies and rain, but that certainly did not overshadow this major accomplishment.

Over the course of the academy, Officer McMillen demonstrated the dedication, discipline, and perseverance required to successfully complete the demanding training needed to become a law enforcement officer. His hard work and commitment have prepared him to proudly serve and protect our community.

We are excited to have Officer McMillen back and look forward to the positive impact he will continue to make. Join us in welcoming him home and congratulating him on this outstanding accomplishment!

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) announced the availability of grant funding for recycling and household hazardous waste collection and disposal from the agency's Community Recycling Grant Program (CGRP). Indiana counties, municipalities, solid waste management districts, universities, schools and nonprofit organizations are eligible to submit a CGRP application requesting $1000-$100,000 in funding. The CGRP is accepting application from May 18 through June 26, 2026.
