Accepting the reality of a situation is one step closer to a sound mental state. As a population, we are dealing with a lot of unknowns. And that can cause fear and anxiety - prohibiting us from growth. But if we can make peace with our circumstances (check out our story for coping with the quarantine), it will allow us to flourish.

ʜᴀᴘᴘʏ ʜᴀᴘᴘʏ ɪɴᴛᴇʀɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ ᴡᴏᴍxɴ's ᴅᴀʏ 💜 We are happy to be celebrating the amazing women that have come before us, currently exist among us, and are rising as the next generation after us. Last year today, we were gearing up to launch the first volume of Sidepiece. We were full of doubt, panic, and worry trying to make sure everything went as it should. We gave everything we had and you, as our community, poured back into us. It was magical. It still is. Every day we get to educate ourselves a little more and shine light on people who need it. What started as a idea to be about womxn’s empowerment has now transformed into a tangible value system based on the principles of strong womxn. We seek more, we do more, and we go further—all because women have no limits. Here’s to being limitless together.

In 2018, Pippins partnered with and created this collection that highlights core themes in black culture: “This collection is about celebrating one another’s stories, differences, and experiences – and being curious about the people you encounter in your day-to-day, inviting the audience to see themselves as part of black heritage.”

We love this of work from Brooke Di Donato (). She specializes in visual artistry as well as represents her Ohio roots. She has worked with many amazing companies like Refinery 29, Gucci, and Coach. These images symbolize creativity and the female body in her photo set called Blank Slate. The harsh lines, ambiguic shapes, and soft colors create personal perceptions and interpretations by combining human anatomony symbolism, patterns, and texture. "Her work illustrates the narratives of the psyche by pairing common human sentiments with uncanny visual elements." @ Indianapolis, Indiana
