Can you take a guess on what common factors affect the housing market?

2021 was a crazy year in the real estate industry. Houses were flying off the market at record speeds and record prices. Interest rates were low and still are low to this day. But what are some of the factors that have caused the market to thrive?

Some of the main things that drive the real estate market or I should say impact the real estate market are as follows..

Supply and Demand
Interest Rates
Economy
Affordability
# of Homes

I’m sure there are a few others I forgot..🤷🏻‍♀️

The real question is will 2022 be a similar year to 2021??

How much can I afford is a very common question that we are asked quite frequently.

The best way to figure out how much you can afford is to speak with a lender. Some common lending companies that you might have heard of would be Caliber Home Loans, Ruoff mortgage, or even a company like Quicken loans. Keep in mind loan officers work for these lending companies.

Clean and Declutter your home prior to listing it!

A good way to Declutter your home prior to listing is to decide what to keep and what to get rid of.

A good way to do this is by making two piles, a goodwill pile and keep pile!

Once you have your key pile you can start packing that into your moving boxes and of course make sure you take that goodwill pile straight to your place of donation.

Curb appeal does wonders when selling a home for a max profit!

Pinterest is a great place to get a few ideas on how to add curb appeal if you are struggling.

My suggestion is to add some flowers or shrubs outside, paint your front door, choose 3-4 colors for your interior and an accent color, and keep things simple!
