In Chulaimbo, Kenya, at least 20% of the school-aged children have lost one or both parents to HIV/AIDS and other diseases.

We are a partnership of many faiths and cultures from two continents, united in our service to change lives by keeping orphaned and vulnerable children in western Kenya in school. The vision of the Umoja Project is to develop a compassionate and comprehensive network of care which responds to the needs of these children by:

- Supporting children and their families through broad-based services;

Three boys. One village. Endless potential. 🧑

Hillary, Dirus, and Stanley grew up together, supported by Umoja throughout their educational journey. In 2025, all three graduated from secondary school and qualified for university admission.

πŸ“š Hillary earned an A and dreams of becoming a doctor.
🩺 Dirus earned a B+ and plans to study nursing.
⚑ Stanley earned a B+ and hopes to become an electrical engineer.

Their success didn't happen by chance. It happened because people like you believed in them.

Today, 6,130 students are depending on Umoja for hope, opportunity, and a path to a brighter future.

πŸ’™ Every gift made today will be DOUBLED thanks to a matching gift challenge up to $20,000.

Please keep Umoja Executive Director, Denise Soltis, and the team from Northminster Presbyterian Church in your prayers as they travel to Kenya this week! πŸ™

Pray for safe travels, good health, and meaningful connections as they visit the Umoja Project in Kenya. May this trip strengthen relationships, encourage those they meet, and further the mission of transforming communities one child at a time through education.

Thank you for covering this team in prayer as they serve and learn alongside our brothers and sisters in Kenya. 🧑
