Did you know??? I sometimes carve wax pieces for my clients. A delightful young woman met with me and together we designed a sculptural ring that she could wear either alone or with her diamond engagement ring. She is a nurse and needed something practical, and also something elegant and sculptural that would fit up against her engagement ring. She trusted me with keeping her engagement ring during the wax carving process so I could test the fit 10,000 times, as you do! The final result was cast in 14k white gold, no rhodium plating. She really loved the result and so do I!

Here’s the story of a custom project that took me almost 2 years to complete. A client came in with a handful of Jade stones she inherited from grandparents who made jewelry. She wanted a cuff bracelet, and I drew up a design for her, which she loved. We did a few weeks of back-and-forth until the final design was reached, and then I promptly went into the ICU for a month. After I got off the walker, then I got Covid. So it was a very long time before I was able to get back to the studio, and then another very long time before my brain worked. So really most of the structural work was done over the past eight weeks. My client wanted it in time for her June wedding, and I accomplished it with two days to spare.
