🌧 SATURDAY RAIN AND STORMS 🌧
A slow moving boundary will work through south through the day. Scattered rain and storms are expected for northern counties this morning. That line will move southeast by late morning.
Another round will develop with the heating of the day this afternoon and evening. A few gusty storms with large hail will be possible. Heavy downpours are likely in both rounds of storms today.

🌧☔ RAIN CHANCES RAMP UP 🌧☔
Daily rain chances return starting Saturday. A much more muggy air mass will help fuel heavy downpours with any storm that develops through late next week.
While a few stronger storms will be possible on Saturday, the main threats for the next several days will be flooding. Areas that get under a few of these downpours could really fill up the rain bucket very quickly. Below is a projection of the potential rainfall through next Thursday against the average for that same time period. Some areas could double the precip. amounts.

WINDY FRIDAY - We should be in for another great day - warmer with highs in the mid 80s with managable humidity.
Winds will pick up quite a bit ahead of our weekend system - with gusts out of the south between 20-30 mph.

MUGGY AIR RETURNS - We've been pretty lucky with the dry air over us since late last week. We start tapping into Gulf moisture starting this weekend and for much of next week. Dew point numbers (measurement of moisture in the air) will push will into the 60s and close to 70s.
This will push our heat index values into the mid 90s next week, and it will help in pushing out daily storm chances starting Saturday.

HOT NEXT WEEK - Our first taste of real summer heat moves in next week. Not only will highs be running nearly 10° average, but with muggy air our feels like temps will be in the middle 90s by the middle and end of next week. 🔥
