This week we had our first quarterly meeting for 2026! Indy Convergence is taking bold new steps to reshape how our board works, communicates with our audiences, and ensure our values are fully reflected in our programs.

Developed to mark the 50th Anniversaries of the Apollo Moon Landings between 2019 and 2022 with residencies at Barn Arts and Indy Convergence and a production at The Tank.

Why apply to the Convergence? Meet creatives from around the country, develop a new project, participate in more than 8 unique workshops taught by peers in your cohort. This is a residency the place to stretch your skills, learn, collaborate across disciplines, fail, try again, and develop lifelong connections with a national network of creatives.

At the Convergence we support artists in all areas of their work and development as a creative. We believe that artists are stronger collaborators, resilient creators, and thoughtful teachers when they have the time, space, materials, and human resources to grow, make mistakes, try again.

Participants all receive:
🕰️ Time: We work daily from 9:30-6PM to learn, share, and create
💰Stipend: All artists receive a stipend to support their attendance
⚙️ Resources: Participants have full access to our space, materials, tools, and creative supplies.

Interested in applying to the Convergence but wondering about the program and how artists from so many backgrounds contribute?

Umbrella Project: A project where all participants collaborate on a single project or there. In 2026 artistic director Robert Negron will lead this project.

Workshops: Each artist teaches a workshop in their area of expertise.

Side Projects: Genre specific projects that are smaller and receive eight hours of rehearsal time to distill a concept, an idea, or a tricky spot in your work.
