One of the most common causes of shoulder pain is a rotator cuff injury. It is estimated that 20% of adults will suffer a rotator cuff injury at some point in their life. While these injuries are common, there is one simple, yet effective way of stretching and strengthening the shoulder to help prevent these. To start, stand in a doorway and spread your arms to grip the sides of the doorway at shoulder height. Then, maintain your grip while keeping a straight back, lean forward until you feel a stretching sensation. Hold this position for 10-15 seconds then rest and repeat.
