Marion County's drowning rate is higher than the national average.

The Riviera Club Foundation, Inc. is working to change that.

Most people think of swimming as recreation, exercise, competition, or summer fun. But swimming is also a life-saving skill, and access to lessons is not something every child receives.

Through partnerships with organizations including Coburn Place, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Indianapolis Public Schools and others, the Foundation provides swim lessons and water safety education to children throughout our community.

In 2025 alone, the Foundation helped provide swim lessons to 681 students, delivered water safety education to 456 more, and served more than 1,800 individuals through its programs.

But the impact goes beyond the numbers.

♥ It's the child who overcomes fear and puts their face in the water for the first time.
♥ The student who lets go of the wall and learns to float.
♥ The confidence (in the child and the parent) that grows with every lesson.

The Riviera Club has an incredible resource in its pools, instructors, volunteers and Members. Through the Foundation, those resources are helping make our community safer, stronger and more connected.

This is something our Members should be proud of.

Looking for a fun and educational way to keep your kids engaged this summer?

Our half-day Robotics camps, June 15-19, give kids ages 6-14 a hands-on introduction to robotics, engineering, and coding through exciting projects they'll actually build themselves.

9:00-11:30 a.m.
Kids will create projects like a dancing robot, traffic light, and drumming robot while learning the fundamentals of robotics and programming.

12:30-3:30 p.m.
A different set of builds, including a three-wheeler, robotic carousel, and creative LED display projects, reinforces the same core robotics concepts in a fresh way.
