Backstage twirls in some of my favorite costumes this year in Yuletide Celebration 2025! Thank you especially to the costume crew/dressers who worked hard behind-the-scenes to make us all look/feel fierce onstage all while bringing kindness and fun energy! Not pictured: 9 costume changes in about 6 locations backstage.

There were so many highlights of Yuletide this year (so get ready for all the posts 😉), but one that really meant the world to me was my road dog driving all the way to see me in this show. I’m so grateful in this lifetime to have a best friend who has supported me and cheered me on through everything. ❤️

Here’s to those who paved the way, are paving the way and will pave the way. To all the possibilities that are yet to come. Keep the representASIAN going with YOUR stories, always.

It’s one of those, “I never would have thought” moments. I never would have thought I’d be teaching ballet to a group of individuals/artists coming from a mixed background of levels and abilities all in the SAME classroom. I continuously wonder what I have to offer as a teacher. But throughout this journey, I’ve realized it’s simply just showing up authentically and sharing MY experience of passion, love, joy, challenges, truths and everything in between that this art form has given me. With an art form that has many preconceived notions, I am thankful that my students have been open and allowed me to share why ballet is so special and hopefully found a joy in it too. Although I’m their teacher, my students continue to teach me too. Being a teacher has challenged me, rewarded me, gave me a strength I didn’t know I had and warmed my heart. And I know this will just continue to evolve. I hope my students know that there is a dancer inside each and every one of them and each individual has a light and poise that no one can replicate. I’m so proud! Thank you for giving me a place to grow as an artist and teacher and just simply allowing me to show up as Hannah Jew.
