It was cold outside last time I sang with Indy’s top crooner! I’m honored to be the special guest of Chad “Crooner” Brown for a night filled with jazz standards and jazzified modern songs! Dance and soaking in the vineyard views. This Friday, May 1 at Urban Vines Winery & Vineyard it’s the place to be! 🍷✨

Happy Belated Birthday to this incredible woman ❤️ She is keys and key to my women’s combo The Jazz Mamas and I love what she brings to my original music. She’s a fantastic performer and writer herself and I can’t wait to feature her orginals in the combo. Britt, your energy, passion, positivity, and obvious zest for life and music making is so refreshing! May all your wishes come true. 🎂🥳
When I can’t go out for live music but really want it, I’m grateful for analog which I can feel a little more. I’m grateful for records like this one.
My pup gives me her paw when I sing to her. Remembering the lucky day 9 years ago when we found her on the streets of Guatemala, skinny and full of fleas and wounds. Bringing her home was one of the best choices of my life- she has been a sweet, patient, peaceful presence in our home, and gentle with the kids. What a difference a day made!

Meet my student, Jilli! She has a rare combination of talent, humility, and determination and I’m so proud to award her a Spring scholarship. She will be at the Palladium with me this week working on “My Favorite Things” for a performance late in April. 💫👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
While I love performing, I am a community builder at heart and truly and deeply care that Jazz gets passed to the next generation over and above any opportunities I have for myself. Maybe it’s a mom thing, maybe it’s because of the health challenges I faced 10 years ago, maybe it’s just that Jazz has always been bigger than a few names and players- it’s a community.
In this season of life, my vocal studio only has a handful of students but I am so grateful to pass along what I do know to students who show promise. And I’m really grateful for the many supporters of music who help me do special things like this. I also regularly take vocal lessons and music lessons on piano and guitar, business and songwriting. I think we should never be stagnant but a conduit.
