We're on the road delivering checks!

A 2026 grantee, Freewheelin' Community Bikes received funds for its Bicycle Rodeo program. This program travels around the city of Indianapolis to provide educational activities - to children and adults alike - at city events like Bike to School Days, Walk, Bike, & Roll to School Days, community safety days and Bike to the State Fair.

The program educates residents about the rules of the road, hand signals and proper helmet fitting. Environmental benefits of cycling, and benefits to overall health is covered in this program as well.

Freewheelin' will focus on collaborations with partners like Indianapolis Public Schools (Schools 88, 60, and 70), the Mayor's Office, Indy Parks, Indiana Department of Transportation and the Indianapolis Fire Department. Congrats to Freewheelin' on the amazing work they do in our community!

The board of the CIBA Foundation is thrilled to celebrate Karen Bohn, a longtime CIBA Foundation board member and cycling advocate, for her recent recognition by Greenways Foundation.

Karen was awarded the Diana M. Virgil Legacy Award for her lifetime of service advancing trails across Indiana. We could not be more excited for, and proud of, Karen and her service!
