The Public Collection book stations are open and available to everyone, for free. Our vision is to improve literacy, foster a deeper appreciation of the arts, and promote social justice through free access. The Public Collection is a public art and literacy project developed by Rachel M. Simon, with support from the Herbert Simon Family Foundation.

Excited to announce that we’ve created a new installation for ! “Playbook” by artist, Brose Partington, mimics a reclaimed basketball floor and reflects the gathering of teams from different courts, while acknowledging the importance of arts & literature in college athletics.

This is your last week to enjoy the iconic and beloved Monument by Brian McCutcheon at Monument Circle. We commissioned this as a temporary 2 year installation; due to popular demand, it’s been deployed in the elements for 4 years. It has served our community so well.
