Blue is an 8 year old, 21 lbs beagle boy who was an owner surrender. 😔 Understandably he doesn’t really love being left alone so a home with another pet or with a person who works from home would be amazing.

He loves car rides, and all the love and attention he can get - and who wouldn’t want to snug 🥰 this cute dude?!

Sweet little Mellow has the perfect name because he’s just a mellow little senior 👴🏼 dude!

Mellow was adopted out from us a couple of years ago but returned recently because his person passed away. 😔

Aside from limited appetite, this 13 year old beef cake is transitioning OK. He would do best in a house where folks love to do walkies as much as he does, and maybe with another small dog as a companion. He would do well as an only dog too!

Oh my goodness friends, we have been TOTALLY dropping the ball on our social media posting. THANK YOU for your continued support as we (quietly) kept chugging along with our work. We promise we will be better! To kick us off...

Last fall we posted a desperate plea for little Megan, who needed a very special home due to her FeLV status. That post connected us to an amazing adopter, whose other kitty was also FeLV+... but she was several states away. 😕

Amazingly, we have a wonderful friend who doesn't mind a roadtrip... and before you know it, Tony Donohue had her packed up and was off! And since then Megan has been living her best life with her angel of a momma, Rylee Strah. 🥰🥰

Cheers to 2nd chances and to all the amazing people we've met through rescue! We are eternally grateful for your continued support. 😘

Sweet Jameson is ready to find his forever home!
When we pulled this boy from a shelter they told us he was perfection wrapped in fur, and they weren't kidding! We think he's about 8y and a healthy boy. He's lovingly became known as "Potato" at his foster home, because he literally lives to snuggle! If you want to go for a walk, he will join you for a mosey... but he'd really prefer to snuggle on the couch.

He doesn't mind other dogs but would be fine without fursiblings. He wants human laps. LOL He is housetrained and all around just delightful. He's about 30 lb. and he's neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, and had a recent dental cleaning. 😍

Jane was an amazing, inspiring, huge-hearted gift to the world. We wanted to share the news of her heartbreaking passing, as we know many of you have enjoyed seeing her artists’ work in the auction she planned for us each year. She will be profoundly missed. 💔

We are always so grateful to pick up supplies for our foster dogs and cats from IndyHumane rescue relief pantry. This resource helps the foster homes supplement the food and supplies needed for all the sweet pups and kitties in our care.

Updates from EDCR alum keep us going!

Sweet Lud, now Bryan, came into EDCR as a very small little guy, too young to be away from his mama, but no one tell him that! He was a very spunky, goofy boy and according to his forever mama, that hasn’t changed.

Bry’s forever mama says he loves two things—tennis balls and his brother Norman. 🥰 He and Norman even help other pups by donating blood!

Bryan has made an impact not only on his people, but other humans and pups. He spent his gotcha day doing whole house zoomies, parkouring off the couch and entertaining the neighbors with his tales of mischief. 😆
