What do you look forward to the most about IDO?
At IDO, I am looking forward to meeting new people, learning new skills, and being part of something that aligns with my strongest value, service. I am so excited to see everyone and learn about their personalities and skill sets. I am sure I’ll be in awe of how amazing the team works together.
You can only eat ONE food for the rest of your life.
What would it be and WHY?
Peanut Butter Jelly – I never get tired of it. There’s protein in the peanut butter and some sugar in the jelly. The nutrients are almost there and the taste is great. I ate it every day in high school and felt awesome!
What is one interesting fact about yourself?
I love making art for the people I love. When I get older I would like to have a barn with a studio that lets me do pottery, painting, metal work, screen printing, photography etc… I LOVE ART.
What did you want to be when you grew up and WHY?
I wanted to be a surgeon because I loved science and surgery looked so cool to me. I wanted to be able to save people’s lives, and I just had a strange fascination with the system of the human body.
What is your go-to karaoke song & title?
"Talking to The Moon" – Bruno Mars

Investing in the next generation of interior designers is part of who we are at IDO. Through mentoring, portfolio reviews, and partnerships with local student design organizations, we're proud to support emerging talent as they prepare for the profession.
Our latest blog, from i+s magazine and ASID Student Portfolio Review jurors, explores what makes a portfolio truly stand out—and why the strongest ones showcase not just the final design, but the thinking behind it. https://bit.ly/4xqvHqh
Some fixtures illuminate a space. Others help define it. ✨ The OCL Centro Pendant pairs sculptural form with soft, balanced illumination. Its clean geometry and refined presence enhance the architecture, proving that great lighting shapes the experience just as much as the visual aesthetic.

This week marked the beginning of new lighting installations at the IDO office, and we couldn’t be more excited about the direction it’s taking. A huge thank you to ESL-Spectrum and Pam Eberhardt for the thoughtful lighting design that shaped this space so intentionally, and to Electric Plus for the expert installation bringing it all to life.
Featuring the Fluxwerx Illumination Portal Pendant, this new lighting feature anchors the space with minimal form and maximum visual clarity.
We’re loving the fresh energy in the office—more product installations coming this week.
Clean lines. Quiet glow. Intentional design. ✨ The Fluxwerx Portal Pendant anchors the space with minimal form and maximum visual clarity. Thoughtfully integrated into the architecture, it’s lighting that supports the design intent - never competing with it.

offers a glimpse into where design is headed next, not just what is new.
As our designers, Dalia Moudarres & Megan Fisher explore Chicago's showrooms and connect with industry partners, we're following the conversations shaping the future of workplace environments: adaptability, privacy, material intelligence, and purpose-driven design.
These ideas are influencing more than products—they're influencing how we create meaningful spaces for the people who use them. Explore the trends driving Chicago Design Week in our latest blog: https://bit.ly/4xy4To6

Every team meeting has its traditions. Ours just happens to involve a beloved sandwich cookie.
A flavor that typically makes its appearance in the fall found its way into our conference room this spring as the latest contender in the IDO Oreo Challenge: Apple Pie à la Mode.
While some flavors have sparked spirited debate, this one was anything but crumby. The verdict? A rare unanimous thumbs up from the team.
Nabisco, consider this one officially IDO approved.👍👍Up next, a limited edition called "Firecracker Pop" just in time for the 4th of July!

IDO is a commercial interior design firm grounded in the belief that thoughtful environments empower people to thrive. From workplace and healthcare to municipal and higher education spaces, their team looks beyond aesthetics to create environments that truly support the people who use them every day.
With a multidisciplinary team—including Registered Interior Designers, space planners, move management specialists, and operations professionals—IDO brings a hands-on, collaborative approach from concept through construction. Their technical expertise (LEED, NCIDQ, OSHA-10) ensures every space is functional, sustainable, and built to last.
💗 Beyond their project work, IDO is deeply committed to the community. In 2026, they celebrated their 8th year participating in Women Build with Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity . This May, their team—affectionately known as Lipstick & Lumber—joined hundreds of women to help build safe, stable homes for local families. For IDO, Women Build is more than an event—it is a meaningful extension of their work and values that reflects their commitment to community engagement, hands-on involvement, and the belief that when people come together with intention, lasting change is possible.

Some days at IDO, we're aligned on strategy. Other days, we're aligned on outfits. 👯
Charissa Fish Bellinger accidentally matched a new United Fabrics floral tapestry sample during a lunch and learn, (designer instincts, perhaps?), while Megan and Jalen unknowingly launched their own green-themed twinning campaign.
Whether it's shared ideas, shared laughs, or shared color palettes, it's these unexpected moments that make our workplace a little more vibrant.
Stay tuned for next week's episode of "Who Matched What?"💚

What if the future of workplace design has more in common with immersive entertainment than traditional office planning?
As expectations shift toward experiences that are authentic, engaging, and memorable, commercial interiors are evolving beyond four walls and a floor plan. Today's most impactful spaces tell stories, strengthen brand identity, and create meaningful connections between people and purpose.
In our latest blog from i+s, this podcast explores how immersive design is transforming corporate environments into strategic tools for engagement, culture, and business growth.
At IDO, we see this evolution firsthand. Great design isn't about technology for technology's sake—it's about creating environments that reflect an organization's values, support its people, and leave a lasting impression.
Take a listen and explore how the next generation of workplace design is shaping experiences, not just spaces. https://bit.ly/4dMC5jK
