It’s time to lace up your sneakers and recruit a three-person basketball team to raise scholarship money for Indianapolis students this summer.

Joby Wright, who runs BFA Enterprises, hosted the first Ball for All tournament last year to create a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club and start a positive event for young adults.

The event raised enough for one $500 scholarship last year and they’re hoping to make enough for two this time around.

The 3-on-3 BFA Enterprises’ Ball for All tournament runs from noon to 4 p.m. July 25 at Keenan-Stahl Boys & Girls Club.

It costs $50 per team and all the money raised will be donated as a scholarship to the Boys & Girls Club of Indianapolis.

To sign up, email [email protected] or text 317-680-6165. Players must be 18 or older.

IndyGo will switch from MyKey to MyKey+ July 1.

The new payment system will let you link multiple cards to one account so if you’re getting around the city with out-of-town friends, you can buy and activate tickets for everyone from one account.

IndyGo will get rid of ticket vending machines, which are at some bus stops downtown and the Red and Purple line platforms.

If you want to load money to your MyKey+ card outside of the website or app, IndyGo is working with more than 100 vendors around Indianapolis where you can take your card (list linked in the comments).

By the end of the year, IndyGo plans to start accepting tap-to-pay by the end of the year, so you can pay from your debit/credit card or phone.

The last day you can use money from your MyKey account is Aug. 31.

Gregory Hill, CEO of Indy’s public library system, could get a raise this month.

Hill, who made around $205,000 last year, would be in line to make $265,000 per year if the library board approves a raise, board president Ray Biederman told Mirror Indy.

Khaula Murtadha was the only person on the seven-member board to vote against increasing the pay range. She said giving the CEO a raise makes it look like the board doesn’t care as much about regular workers.

“How does it look to those who are boots on the ground?” Murthada, the board’s vice president, said during the meeting.

In 2025, the median salary for a librarian was around $54,500, according to the state’s public employee database. That was an increase of about 10% from 2023.

Hill’s pay over the same time went up by about 23%.
