Sweet Pieta is in surgery this morning, and we could really use your help.
Pieta came to Silver Snout Senior Dog Rescue after her owner passed away. As soon as she arrived, we noticed she was struggling with urinary issues and rushed her to our veterinarian. The diagnosis shocked us—a bladder stone the size of an egg.
Today, she is undergoing surgery to remove that massive stone and will also be spayed. We can’t even imagine the discomfort this sweet girl has been living with. Thankfully, relief is finally on the way.
As always, we said “yes” because she needed us, but surgeries like this come with significant veterinary expenses. If you’d like to help Pieta on her journey to a pain-free life, donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. 👇 Links to donate are in the comments.
Every dollar helps us continue saying “yes” to senior dogs like Pieta when they have nowhere else to turn.
Please keep this precious girl in your thoughts today and consider making a donation toward her care. ❤️
Pieta, we’re all cheering for you!

Molly Update! 😌💕
Molly saw the vet today for her collapsing trachea cough and got a shot to help her feel better. Judging by this photo, we’d say it’s working really well. 😂
The vet was also very happy to see that Molly’s weight loss plan is working! She’s making great progress and looking better every visit.
For now, Molly is resting, relaxing, and apparently contemplating the meaning of life. 🐾✨

🚨 $5 FRIDAY: WE’RE NOT READY TO GIVE UP ON THEM 🚨
Last night, we said yes to another senior in need. ❤️ Follow along later today as we introduce our newest rescue and share her story.
But this morning, there are still three more seniors sitting in shelters who are on our hearts.
💔 An 11-year-old little guy who is so terrified he’s hiding in his carrier and baring his teeth at anyone who comes near. Not because he’s mean—because he’s scared.
💔 A senior Brussels Griffon who is described as docile and content to sleep, just waiting for someone to give him a soft place to land.
💔 And a 16-year-old senior in Northern Indiana whose owner passed away. Now, instead of grieving in the comfort of the home he knew, he has found himself in a shelter, confused, scared, and in poor condition.
These are the dogs that keep us up at night.
The ones who have done nothing wrong.
The ones who deserve better.
The ones who are running out of time.
The truth is, we want to say yes to all three, but we can’t do it alone.
If every one of our followers donated just $5 today, we would have the resources to keep pulling seniors from shelters and giving them the second chance they deserve.
☕ Skip one coffee.
🐾 Save one life.
Every dollar matters. Every share matters. Every person who chooses to care matters.
Please help us show these seniors that they are not forgotten.

A little scare for sweet Meeko yesterday.
One of our rehab dogs, Meeko, suddenly began vomiting blood and had us all very worried. Thankfully, thanks to a fast-acting volunteer and our amazing veterinary team, he quickly received the care he needed.
We’re happy to report that Meeko seems to be on the mend and is resting comfortably today. 🐾
Moments like these remind us how important it is to have dedicated volunteers, supportive veterinarians, and a community that stands behind senior dogs when they need us most.
Please keep Meeko in your thoughts as he continues to recover. ❤️
