Douglas MacArthur Elementary teacher Melinda Richardson was selected as the TechPoint Youth Teacher of the Year! 🏆

Melinda was recognized for the incredible work she does with students through STEM, robotics, and hands-on learning every single day. Along with the trophy and certificate, she received a $5,000 cash prize. 💙

A huge thank you to Danielle Daugherty, Director of Development for TechPoint Youth, for helping surprise her with the award! 🎉 The mariachi band was already there performing… but it definitely helped keep Melinda unsuspecting until the big surprise.

Help us congratulate her in the comments!

Our preschool graduates took their walk toward kindergarten while families gathered outside to cheer them on and celebrate.

This year, four Southport High School seniors joined the parade. These seniors were among the very first students to attend Perry Township's preschool program.

One group is taking their next step into kindergarten, while the other is taking their final step across the stage tonight. Seeing them walk side by side was a full-circle moment and a reminder of just how fast the years go. Before you know it, today's preschoolers are tomorrow's graduates. ❤️
