ArtNature funds projects that communicate the importance of preserving Indiana’s natural resources.

07/30/2025

Come join us in Converse, IN Sept. 20. Bring your paints and join in or just come at 4 p.m. to see the art painted by the 40-50 artists that will come. This is an Art Nature sponsored event to support the art of nature and to support the Indiana Glacial Lakes project — a 3-4 year effort to improve water quality in lakes and build public awareness for the issues all lakes face.

Did you now Indiana's Glacial Lakes are dying? Blue-green algae blooms are attacking some of the world's southern most glacial lakes, lakes once considered too frigid to support the bacteria. It's not too late to rescue these ecological treasures for the next generation to enjoy. Hoosier artists and scientists are working now on "Indiana Glacial Lakes: The Art of Conservation," a combined art exhibition, a book of scientific research and Hoosier storytelling and a Public Media documentary. Five Indiana artists are surveying around the state now. Here's a peak at some of the prep work. Learn more here https://www.artnatureconsortium.org/
