Over the last 30 years, Mark Ortwein has performed in many different musical projects including professional recordings, musical theater, chamber ensembles, jazz and R&B groups, as well as many orchestral performances, including being a member of the saxophone section for the Cincinnati Pops under Erich Kunzel. He has performed all over the world in many different venues, ranging from Carnegie Hall to the Grand Ole Opry and MTV. Mark is currently the Assistant Principal Bassoonist and Contrabassoonist of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.”

It’s official....Grove Haus is history😢. We can’t thank our family and friends enough for all the love and support through the years. So much blood, sweat, and tears have been poured into this endeavor and I am forever grateful to you all! I’ve included some pictures from the process. This has been a life changing experience for us all. So many amazing people have come into our lives through the Haus. Lifelong friends have been made and unforgettable memories have been laid down. We will truly forever treasure this time we spent with our community making things happen! We love you Fountain Square and we aren’t going anywhere. Will just be here looking through a different lens now. Much love❤️😭

Few days left for throwbacks....seems so crazy how little the kids were when we moved in the Haus. My little gypsies handled living in the church during the renovations so beautifully. They never complained even when they had to walk through a room full of dancers to get to the green room for their showers or when it was so loud from the dancers or the shows in their bedrooms in the basement. They slept right through it. A highlight was when the “freak show” from the Venus Hottentot production by NoExit Performance were rehearsing and would walk through the basement in costume while we were eating dinner and doing homework. Just another day in the life of weirdos living in a church ❤️ I will treasure these memories.

Breaking up is so hard to do😢 I’m taking my disco balll with me! It’s always been my fave. 💃

Less than 2 weeks left as the owners of Grove Haus. 😢 There’s a lot of emotions over here. I will certainly miss doing ridiculous things, like this pic, in the name of community❤️ fond memories of the Haus people being the highlight of the Art Squared Parade! Our brand of freaks tore that parade up😂 We will be having a Haus sale of various items/furniture/clothes on the weekend of October 11-12. More details to come!
