Last week was the start of the Sea Scope Inc Summer Empowerment trainings!

At the start of World Ocean Day 🌍🌊, Discoverer 🤿 Cyniah began her camp on the beautiful island of Dominica 🇩🇲

Not only did Cyniah gain more experience in advanced diving and more knowledge of coral 🪸 restoration initiatives, but also spent two days serving the community with two local youth serving organizations, engaging in community outreach and ocean advocacy.

What a great start to our summer youth empowerment camps! Thank you Paul Washington, instructor and scientific diver of Washington Scuba, for an amazing experience!

Summer 🌞 has officially begun and is off to a great start with our water safety lessons for Saint Florian Center, Inc summer camp participants, led by our new Aquatics Director Dr. Latashia Key!

Every summer we teach local youth several life saving 🛟 in water skills 🏊🏾‍♀️ to keep them safe in and around water.

Thank you as always Step Into Swim and Indiana Sports Corp for supporting our efforts here in Indianapolis to reduce drowning rates.

Last week our Eco-Warriors 🌱 had their final spring classes and what an amazing close out with Nyla Nova STEM 👩🏾‍🔬

For Endangered Species Day, students learned how human actions impact species and how pollution threatens their survival. This lab focused on engineering a design that filters the polluted water away from the wildlife and vegetation.

Thank you Nakeisha Washington and team for another successful semester. We look forward to continuing our partnership to create the next generation of environmental stewards and scientists that will save our planet 🌍
