Nov. 1, 1916, these four women — Annie Param, Anna Angales, Elizabeth Berkeley, and Sadie Thompson — were in Washington, DC, for the annual Former Slave Convention. Each claimed to be more than 100 years old. Though we can’t be certain about their ages, they came together to reflect on the past and act on the future.The month long convention, then in its 54th year, opened at the Cosmopolitan Baptist Church in Washington in November 1916, with many centenarian attendees. He continued to impress with Taxi Driver (1976), Raging Bull (1980 – Best Actor Oscar), Goodfellas, Casino, Heat, The Irishman (2019), and Killers of the Flower Moon (2023). Bruce Springsteen (born 1949, in Long Branch, New Jersey) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician, often nicknamed “The Boss.” He is best known for his poetic lyrics, passionate stage performances, and his blend of rock, folk, and heartland music that captures the struggles and dreams of everyday Americans.

Springsteen rose to fame in the 1970s with his backing group, the E Street Band. 1900 - Chiricahua Apache women from the east fork of Clear Creek, Arizona. The Apache are not one people, but rather a label applied to a group of tribes who inhabit the Southwestern US. There is much debate as to their origins. It was the Spanish who first coined the term Apache, believed to come from a Pueblo word for enemy. MANY TRIBES LABELLED APACHE WERE NOT ENEMIES OF THE ANCESTRAL PUEBLO PEOPLES. IN SOME CASES THEY ARE THE SAME PEOPLE, HAVING MERGED TO WARD OFF THE 'PEOPLE EATERS'.
