We keep hearing the same thing in conversations about AI and fundraising: individuals have figured out how to use it well, but their organization is still functioning exactly the same way.
We wanted to actually measure that. So we built a short survey to find out where the gap is and what's blocking teams from moving past it.
We're less interested in which tools you use, and more interested in:
๐ Did your work actually change?
๐ Did your team's work actually change?
๐ Where do you draw the line on what AI should never touch?
If you work in fundraising or advancement, we'd genuinely like your honest answer. Takes about 7 minutes. Responses are confidential, and findings will be published so the sector can see where things actually stand.
Open through September 30. Take the survey โ https://hubs.la/Q04rVD690

Every fundraising strategy needs a different kind of donor. DonorSearch Enhanced Core just made it easier to find the right one, every time.
Every predictive model now has one clear job, tied to how you actually fundraise:
๐ Most Likely to Raise: know who to call for an urgent ask
๐ Retention, Sustainer, Acquisition, Upgrade: know exactly who to prioritize in your annual giving program
๐ Major Gift Propensity: know who's ready for a 5-year ask, not a guess
The results so far:
๐ฏ 46% more donors surfaced in Retention's top 10%
๐ฏ 3x more upgraders identified in the top 10%
๐ฏ $23.9M more in top-prospect revenue identified, on average
The causes that matter most can't afford to run on guesswork. See which DonorSearch Enhanced Core scores fit your strategy: https://hubs.la/Q04rYTg40
With just a few staff members, how do you build confidence in a multi-million dollar endowment campaign?
That was the challenge facing Ladue Education Foundation, a small team supporting a district of 4,000 students with a broad, unfocused donor base.
Using DonorSearch by EverTrue, Julie Ferrie and her team built a clearer picture of each donor's capacity, engagement, and giving history, helping them prioritize the relationships that would move the campaign forward.
The result: a focused, actionable prospect list and the confidence to guide a $5 to $10 million endowment campaign.
Because building something meant to last doesn't take a bigger team. It takes focus.

This month was full of great conversations, familiar faces, and a few new ones too. ๐
Rosa Roman, Jennifer Johnson, Jen Lesshafft, and Kelsey Crane spent time with fundraising leaders at:
๐ NACUBO Annual Meeting
๐ Midwest Meeting of the Minds
๐ Big 10 Development Conference
Every conversation was a good reminder of something we believe deeply: fundraising is fundamentally human. It's one thing to say that. It's another to show up in person and show people what EverTrue is all about.
If we connected at any of these, it was great to meet you! If we missed you, we'll be at more in August, come find us at Tessitura's Learning & Community Conference, Apra PD, and FFE/NIC Dual Meeting Seminar! ๐

Every gift to an endowment keeps working long after it's given. Shouldn't the report showing that work just as hard?
At California State University, Chico, producing an endowment report used to mean weeks of manual back-and-forth between finance and development, just to send something that still felt static by the time it landed.
Using Balance and Impact by EverTrue, the team connected fund accuracy on one side to real-time reporting on the other, replacing a slow, manual hand-off with one system both teams could trust.
The result: faster reporting, fewer errors, and donor communications that actually show the difference a gift made.
The gift is just the beginning. Keep your funds in Balance. Show donors the Impact.
Growing Giving Day from around 600 donors to over 2,800 in a single year takes more than a single ask.
Bloomsburg University Foundation had consistent Giving Day participation, but never the campus-wide buy-in they wanted.
So they turned it into a friendly competition between athletics, academic departments, and student organizations using Signal and ThankView by EverTrue to keep outreach personal across every group.
The result: participation jumped to over 2,800 donors, held above 2,500 the year after, and fundraising totals grew alongside it.
Friendly competition got everyone in. Coordinated outreach with ThankView and Signal kept it personal.

Your alumni are everywhere. Does your engagement feel scattered too?
For The Citadel Foundation, it meant a lot of different touchpoints: video messages, automated cadences, direct outreach, that could easily start feeling disconnected from each other.
So the team brought them together. Using ThankView, Signal, and Pledgemine by EverTrue as one coordinated strategy, every touchpoint felt like part of the same ongoing conversation, no matter where an alum was.
The result is a stronger, more responsive alumni network, and relationships that keep deepening over time.
Engagement doesn't need to happen everywhere at once. It just needs to feel connected everywhere it happens.

Smaller portfolios. Bigger results.
Same 17 fundraisers. Portfolios cut from 150+ down to ~40 active prospects. Two years later:
โ๏ธ 170% more asks โ๏ธ 211% more gifts โ๏ธ 595% more dollars raised
The difference wasn't effort. It was prioritizing for connection instead of coverage.
Capacity tells you what a donor could give. Giving history and engagement tell you who's actually ready. Start there, and the right people surface on their own. One team found a $5,000 supporter hiding in plain sight who turned into a $50,000 gift.
Scott Rosenkrans (Head of AI Growth, EverTrue) breaks down how to flip your prioritization sequence and where AI genuinely helps surface who's ready, on July 29th.

For years, many fundraising organizations have operated under the assumption that gift officers can effectively manage portfolios of 150+ prospects.
But where did that number actually come from? And more importantly, is it still serving todayโs fundraising teams?
As expectations continue to rise and teams are asked to do more with the same (or fewer) resources, the question isnโt โHow do we fit more into a portfolio?โ
Itโs โHow do we bring clarity to who needs attention next?"
Join EverTrueโs Head of AI Growth, Scott Rosenkrans, for a practical conversation on rethinking donor prioritization, portfolio strategy, and where AI can help reduce administrative work while preserving the human side of fundraising.

Not every donor has the same giving history. So why send them all the same mail?
That question pushed West Chester University Foundation to rethink their direct mail strategy.
Using Pledgemine and ThankView by EverTrue, Lauren Giannaris and the team moved away from one mailing for their entire list and built donor segments based on where each person was in their giving journey.
The results told the story: lapsed donors responded at a much higher rate, growing from 8 percent to 12 percent, and a follow-up appeal outperformed anything they'd sent before. Together, that added up to an extra $80,000 in a refreshed year-end strategy.
Personalization isn't about sending more mail. It's about making sure what you send actually reflects who that donor is.
