*Only follow/like if you are of legal age to consume cannabis* Hello, my name is Jordan. and COO), Marcie Kiziak (Pres.
I’m the creator and sole writer of this blog. I live in Indianapolis, IN with my partner and two black cats, Nips and Fran. While cats are great at making you feel better, I realized pretty quickly the medicinal effects of cannabis and want to help end the stigma associated being a cannabis user. No one should have to go through extra pain or addiction because of being denied the right to use this

Those of you who have been reading my weekly updates on Linked In or elsewhere have likely noticed that Surterra has been making great progress, but now that we have the whole first quarter's numbers in, I thought it would be good to put them together to get a more accurate sense of how things have changed year over year....

It's always great to hear more from the leaders of SNDL Inc and Nova. Marcie has always come off as well prepared and thoughtful to me and has been nothing but pleasant in the couple of interactions we've had so far.
So, this Q&A session with Frederico Gomes, VP, Institutional Research, Life Sciences ATB Capital Markets, was expected to be another good presentation and they delivered. Frederico is one of the few analysts I've seen who understands what SNDL and Nova are trying to do and treats them fairly with good questions.
You can find it here:
https://unioncannabis.wordpress.com/2023/03/10/kcsa-cannabis-investors-conference-qa-with-sndl-pres-cannabis-retail-and-nova-cannabis-ceo-marcie-kiziak/
And here's a great quote from Marcie to entice you:
"Because, in this business, because of the competition, because of the pressures, because of the saturation, we need to make sure that the customers stay in the forefront of our sights. And so, really for us, it's going to be about making sure that we are continuing to focus on them and providing a really consistent customer experience..."

I'm always pleased to see SNDL CEO Zach George do Q&A sessions with Frederico Gomes, VP, Institutional Research, Life Sciences ATB Capital Markets. Frederico is one of the few analysts I've seen who understands what SNDL and Nova are trying to do and treats them fairly with good questions. I've done my best, below, to type up a transcript of the KCSA Cannabis Investors Conference Q&A, because the video version isn't available forever and often no transcript is made. This should make it easier for anyone who wants to read along or who finds it easier to share quotes without having to type them yourself.
If there's enough demand, I'll do a write up and transcript for the Nova presentation from the same day. Please let me know what you think and thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to check it out.

It's here, my newest article: "Value Buds: Cornering the Market (28g Flower, 1g Vapes)" is out now:
"When SNDL acquired Alcanna, and thus Nova Cannabis with its Value Buds retail locations now approaching 90, share of shelf for SNDL's branded products started at zero. With Value Buds being an industry leader among its retail competitors, particularly in sales per store, focusing on the underserved regular use consumer, it was imperative to increase visibility of SNDL's products in a way that wasn't jarring for regular customers.
It seems they are well on their way to doing so, both through organic, steady availability increases, and acquisitions of other brands, mainly those from the Valens Company, Superette, and Zenabis. Today, we examine how product pricing and placement will set up Value Buds to corner the market, with today's article focusing on the 28g flower and 1g v**e segments."

Hey, guys! Today I have a new article for you going over SNDL's discount/value brand, Grasslands.
While Grasslands is a smaller brand right now, I see them growing quickly in the future once the Valens Company acquisition and integration takes place given their industry leading low-cost procurement team as well as the Zenabis acquisition with its low-cost growing facility and current stockpile.
This is a short article given their lower amount of offerings, but they have plans for more, so make sure to check back for updates!
Thank you for anyone who takes the time to check it out:
What’s up with Grasslands? Grasslands is a discount/value brand focused on making the experience as easy as possible for new consumers or people who like to keep it simple. Sometimes you just want a good bud without all the …

Thank you for anyone who takes the time to read!

Here's my newest article: What's Up with Top Leaf?
https://unioncannabis.wordpress.com/2022/10/20/whats-up-with-top-leaf/
This time we go over Top Leaf, SNDL's top-of-the-line brand. This one has more pictures, and better descriptions.
Here's a preview of one of the strains from their "Legends Series", Blue Dream:
"Blue Dream (Blueberry x Haze) (Sativa) (California) - The popularity of Blue Dream is evident from all the growers cultivating it. Others' Blue Dream is more like a faint wisp of forgetfulness. Was that a dream? Where was I again? Ours is more like a lucid dream. Where do I want to go? What do I want to do? The possibilities are endless with this bright green sativa with a pale blue sugary coating under the right light. The flavors and aromas of berries, sweetness, sandalwood, musk, and lemon zest burst out of this strain, making it one of our most flavorful cultivars due to its terpenes, myrcene, alpha-pinene, and guaiol. Hailing from California, you can expect a THC content of 21-25%."
What’s up with Top Leaf? Top Leaf is a masterfully crafted brand for the cannabis connoisseur. Each product has been thoughtfully designed with a great experience in aroma, flavor, feel, and potency. Top Leaf is what you c…

In this post I go over the feel of the brand, as well as its products. I hope you guys come and visit! Thank you in advance to anyone who does!

In case you missed it, I also recently published a post on The Valens Company, their brands, and why it is a good idea for SNDL Inc to acquire them.
https://unioncannabis.wordpress.com/2022/10/12/the-valens-company-acquisition-target/
I also have a post going over terpenes, the compounds that give cannabis its flavors and aromas.
https://unioncannabis.wordpress.com/2022/10/09/terpenes/

It's finally here. I've been working hard to put this together for you guys to explain why The Valens Company is a good investment by SNDL, as well as describe their brands to give a better feel of just how many products they have already.
You can find it at https://unioncannabis.wordpress.com/2022/10/12/the-valens-company-acquisition-target/
This picture is just a small taste.
Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to check it out!

With The Valens Company reporting their earnings on Thursday, I've been working hard today to get a full write up on Valens, why we're buying them, and their brands/products all in one easy location with links to more information.
I plan on having the full post live on my blog, https://unioncannabis.wordpress.com/ , by the end of tomorrow, but here's a sneak peak of part of the description for some products under the "Versus" brand for Valens.
All green text is added for this picture. Thank you, any of you guys who have gone to check out my blog.

Today, we're featuring Buns N' Roses, a product supplied by one of the brands from Superette, SuperFlower!
SNDL Inc. has a stalking horse agreement in place to acquire Superette, assuming they are the highest bidder, because of debts owed to SNDL of about $7M CAD.
Superette only recently moved into selling cannabis, being a stylish cannabis supply and clothing store while waiting for legalization in Ontario.
While they don't have any growing of their own, they have created two in house brands, SuperFlower and Favours, by licensing top quality flower from BZAM Cannabis and Pure Sunfarms (Village Farms), respectively.
Once the acquisition closes, I will have a full write up of Superette on my blog.
