We continued our series More Than “Don’ts” last night.

This week reminded us that honoring God is more than words — it’s how we live.

God’s name is holy.
Not something to use lightly, but to carry with reverence.

And true rest isn’t found in a day on the calendar —
it’s found in Jesus.

When we trust Him, we stop striving.
When we honor Him, we find rest.

God is worthy of ALL the honor,
so we choose to honor Him in ALL we do.

We kicked off our new sermon series last night — More Than “Don’ts”.�
Pastor Cole challenged us with this:

God didn’t give the Ten Commandments to control us, but to free us.�
He’s the One who brought us out, so

He deserves first place in our lives.

No other gods. No idols.�
Anything we put above God becomes an idol.

We choose to put Him back where He belongs — first.

Last night Pastor Cole challenged us to be bold for God, like Paul. Paul didn’t back down when obedience got hard. Being bold isn’t about being loud… it’s about choosing to follow Jesus when it costs something.

Sometimes the fire feels overwhelming—but it’s in the fire that God meets us, strengthens us, and draws us closer. In The Fire is a worship night for youth and young adults to come together, connect, and pursue Jesus in a real and honest way. Worship led by Life Action, this night is all about worshiping with authenticity, building community, and being reminded that we’re not walking through life alone.
