Summit recently completed multiple lagoon closures at a facility near Houston, Texas. Work included In-Situ Soil stabilization of approximately 30,000 cubic yards of VOC impacted material to a constructable compressive strength to meet closure guidelines. Work also included installation of a geotextile and geosynthetic clay liner as part of the final cap design.

In the past few years, Summit Environmental, LLC has successfully completed several steam/river projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. These projects total more than 10,000 linear feet of restored aquatic, riparian, and upland habitat. Most recently, crews completed a project for the City of Petersburg, Virginia. Duration of the project was 6 months.

Northwest Lead Soil Remediation Project Highlights:
-Time sensitive source removal of more than 10,000 cubic yards of impacted soil
-GPS controlled excavation to minimize over excavation
-Continuous dust mitigation required
-Complete restoration of each property within project guidelines
-Project completed on-time and within budget

Summit recently completed a Stormwater Upgrade Project in Belle, WV.
Project included:
Installation of Gravity Wall for Slope Stability, 25,000 Cubic Yard 2:1 Slope Capping Effort, 1,000+ Feet of Hand-Finished Flow Control Ditches, Nearly 2 Miles of 8-foot Chain-Link Security Fence and Gates, Road Repair, and Steep Terrain Stabilization.

SUMMIT completed construction/renovation of the Front Royal Fish Hatchery near Strasburg, Virginia in July of 2022. The project included installation of several miles of subsurface water transfer piping, new water intake structures, 6 acres of harvest pond renovations, ground up construction of critical structures including: Drum Filtration, Incubation, Harvest Pavilion, and Raceway facilities.

Virginia DWR will begin use of this facility in the spring of 2023.
