Shou sugi ban: An ancient Japanese technique for waterproofing and preserving wood. It involves charring the wood surface until it turns black. Durable and long lasting, the life expectancy of shou sugi ban is estimated at more than 80 years when properly maintained.
Later this year, we will be releasing a few of these items using this Japanese technique.
