I guess from my photos I was pretty obsessed with St. Matthias Cathedral in Budapest. šŸ˜… what a layered amazing city or cities- Buda and Pest. Can’t wait to go back and capture more- I really need a better picture of their Statue of Liberty (aka the bottle opener). Can’t wait to take a deeper dive in 2026. I’m crossing all my fingers and toes I can find a handmade/embroidered tablecloth like the red and white - that I’m kicking myself for not buying. My mom would have loved that for the holidays. Until next year Buda and Pest!

I haven’t finished my Danube shares but had to jump in with Toro, Spain. Just arrived maybe 30 minutes ago- this is our neighborhood for the next couple days at Casa Nicola. Keep an eye on for future wine trips to the Toro wine region in Spain. Well, we must get back to our research, more to come!

I just cannot capture Vienna to do it justice. I’m sorry Paris, Vienna might be a little more grand.🫢 We spent a sunshine filled day marveling at architecture and history. In the evening we were fortunate to attend an intimate concert at the Strauss House. The only remaining residence concert venue that housed generations of Strauss musicians that composed and played music that transcended class and we all know to this day. Really special.

Sailing along the Wachau Valley and then riding through its vineyards was truly incredible. We were gifted with absolutely perfect weather- the bluest skies and the brightest sunshine. I wish could capture the sweetness and freshness of the air on that ride.

A day trip to Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic was fairytale beautiful. Listening firsthand to the history they have lived the past 125 years was heartbreaking and for me I must say a bit foreboding given the times we are in. I wish I had more time there, wonderful people. Wrapped up our afternoon and evening exploring Linz, Austria on foot. Found a little riverside local gem in a neighborhood and drank beer on the river wall like a local. Another memorable day with in Eastern Europe.

A day late- Passau- what an interesting beautiful maze of a town. Some things I thought were interesting. 1. The ā€œarchesā€ between the buildings are there to help hold the buildings up do to the annual flooding. 2. Flooding in spring is normal from your ankles to your knees- since forever. 3. There are a couple pictures of catastrophic floods marked on buildings dating back to the 1500’s and most recent 2013. 4. Hi**er almost drowned at 6 years old in Passua- imagine if that had happened?! Crazy. None of the pictures are filtered - they are restoring the cathedral the frescoes are fresh- could not get a picture of the organ which looks to be insane as it is in various states of repair. And finally sunset over the blue Danube as we had a fantastic multi course meal. Ended the evening sitting on our balcony drinking wine and laughing and ended up talking to our neighbor doing the same on his balcony. Only to find out he holds the same job at the same bank as in Texas and they have known each other for years. Just a reminder of how small the world is and how we are all connected! I can’t tell you how fortunate I feel to be doing what I am now for a career and the partnership I have with
