IndyNAWIC's construction camp wrapped up last week, and our campers showed up, built up, and leveled up every single day.

Over 5 days they tackled drywall, electrical wiring, plumbing, concrete mixing, woodworking, heavy machinery (yes β€” backhoes & skid steers 🚜), roofing, siding, interior design, and more.

They toured job sites with Fischer Homes, Cummins, Milestone, and McElroy Metal - and heard from incredible women and industry leaders including Casey Russo, Marty Coppock, Heidi Brumback, Nikki Perry, Emily Mick, Daphne Koch, Katelyn Reynolds, Laura Hardin, Kathryn Roche, and Ashley Beck Cuellar.

The cherry on top? Each group completed a full greenhouse by the end of the week - from framing to painting to roofing.

The week ended with Community Day, which brought it all together with industry booths, a scavenger hunt, and relay races - plus congratulations from Southport Mayor Jim Cooney and Perry Township Schools Superintendent Patrick Spray.

None of this happens without our incredible sponsors (special thanks to Milestone Contractors, Deeply Ingrained, and James Whitcomb Riley Success Academy), donors, volunteers, and Magic Builders who kept the builds moving behind the scenes. THANK YOU. πŸ™Œ

This is what the future of construction looks like. Stay tuned for more opportunities to be a part of this event in the future.
