Congratulations to Dalia Seifallah and Nafisah Sulaiman, COMM PhD Candidate, for winning a 2026 Scholars Forum Award! 🏆🎉
Their paper, “Muslim Mothering as a Site of Resistance and Empowerment: An Autoethnographic Study,” earned the College of Arts, Humanities, Media, and Public Affairs Dean’s Award!
Their work will also be presented at the IAMAS Conference in Montreal this summer and published as a book chapter.
This marks Dalia’s second award this year and Nafisah’s third Dean’s Award (2023, 2024, 2026)! What an incredible achievement and a testament to their scholarly impact! We’re proud to celebrate these incredible achievements from two incredible IUP scholars!

Last Friday, Comm Media celebrated our second annual Comm Prom and our department showed up in style! 📸💃🕴️
Thank you to everyone who dressed to the nines, showed up to support each other, and helped make Comm Media the community that it is.

The NAB Show is one of the world’s largest gatherings for professionals in broadcast, media, and entertainment! It features some of the newest tools, tech, and trends shaping our industry!
