IUP Respiratory Care program

Congratulations to our 2026 Respiratory Care graduates🎉.

A big thanks to Matteo Barton and Ella Evans for attending the Franklin Regional high school career fair to promote respiratory care as a career today!

This week was the Pennsylvania Society for Respiratory Care (PSRC) western conference  in Cranberry township. Our senior RT students attended this great event while the junior class reps volunteered. Kendyl Steighner won the PSRC outstanding student award. Chris Harancher and Jackie Heisler presented a lecture on “Bridging the Generational Gaps in Respiratory Care: Emotional Intelligence in Practice”

Even the IUP mascot likes our pig lung!!

IUP Scholar Forum is when students present their research at the Kovalchik Center in front of judges. Kendyl Steighner and Cassidy Makray presented on behalf of their research group. Their research project was on the success rates of heated high flow, nasal cannula post extubation! Results should be coming soon!
