Our final feature is 12th grade winner Zoey Motto! We truly thank all of the students who submitted their designs and to the Green Bandana Project for helping get the word out!

"My name is Zoey Motto, I am a Senior at Indiana Area Senior High School. For my design it featured a sunflower with a butterfly on it with a quote. I choose each of my complaints with meaning for this. I chose the sunflower since it represents happiness and longevity. I wanted the butterfly to be perched on the flower since it is a universal sign for suiside prevention and represents transformation, and personal growth. The body of the butterfly is a semicolon since it means to show hope, strength and a continuation. I had participated in this contest since I think it is important to advocate for something important like this. It is okay to not be okay, and people are always here to help you."

Coming up next, our 11th grade winner Keylee Gunnarsson!

"My name is Keylee Gunnarsson, and I’m an 11th grader from Indiana, PA. The inspiration for my sticker design came from using the ribbon as a symbol because it’s easy to read and really "pops" on a coffee cup. This cause is incredibly close to my heart; I’ve spent years helping others through dark times, and I had lost my cousin to su***de when I was only 10. I chose to use my art to speak out because I want to turn my personal experiences into something that can help others find their way back to the light. I hope this sticker acts as a wake-up call of hope to remind people that they matter and are never truly alone. "

Next up we have our 10th grade winner Teresa Wang!

"My name is Teresa Wang, and I am a student at Indiana Senior High School. I have always enjoyed creating art that is aesthetic and uplifting. For this contest, my goal was to create a design that felt pretty and approachable. I wanted something that would look great on a coffee cup while providing a sense of calm and positivity to anyone who sees it. I’m happy to support the Su***de Task Force’s mission and contribute to a cause that encourages community care and mental health awareness."
