To celebrate Earth Day today, IUP and Indiana community members met north of Wilson Hall to honor the university’s 150th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of Allegheny Arboretum. A white oak tree now stands outside Wilson Hall across from the Oak Grove, symbolizing strength, longevity and growth.

IUP’s 2026 Leadership Awards were cohosted by the Student Government Association, IUP Ambassadors and Graduate Student Assembly. After countless nominations casted their way, leaders of IUP’s community took Thursday night to celebrate their achievements.

On Wednesday, students gathered for Take Back the Night organized by the Haven Project, demonstrating strength and solidarity in support of survivors. The event provided a platform for individuals to share their experiences, while participants covered the Oak Grove with messages of support and marched across campus to raise awareness.
