theater simple has built a solid artistic reputation producing provocative, literate, subversive, entertaining and occasionally jaw-dropping theatrical experiences. We aim to do plays that touch/provoke/change, and perhaps inspire artists and audiences that want theater simple. Our goal – to affect the future by interacting with communities around the world, teaching, collaborating, conversing - linking ideas and art across the internet, and in the theater.
So - how's your pandemic been?
What sort of creative outlet have you found helpful for you? (Whether it is self-generated or someone else's...)
We have been thinking that in some ways, breaking the normal was hard, yes - but it has brought unexpected pleasures, joys and even a positive change of direction. For some other aspects - difficult choices, reinvention and challenge. Still - art helps us step on new paths.
Share your thoughts with us and other folks - we're always looking for inspiration and new ideas from folks!

Got rained on, but got to see the Tigers Turnbull pitch his first no-hitter. Sad for the Mariners, but as I was sporting my dad’s Tigers hat, perhaps that Detroit-bred spirit boosted some pitches.
Dunn had a good game, too (9 strikeouts!!!) - the redhead just had a better one.
And that’s my report.
And proof of the former roommate, James (also a Detroit guy)

PHOTO: My photo of the Elephant slide in the Gathering Place in Tulsa OK - the most gob-smackingly awesome and joyous park I think I have ever seen. The amount of imagination and generosity of WHO can USE THIS PLACE is inspiring. And c’mon - who wouldn’t want to sliiiiide down an elephant’s trunk?? THIS is the sort of ‘crazy idea’ we are totally on board with.

Hitting the road out of Indiana, PA after an incredible 2 weeks in residence at IUP, with fond farewells to our amazing student performers & production folk, our faculty collaborators and the generous input of dozens of Indiana residents. Our hope was to encourage connection, and in the process we found a deep connection ourselves.
Being from Seattle we love the rain, but are very thankful it came AFTER our outdoor performance yesterday!

Andrew Litsky is playing many roles in Caravan Chronicles: producer, actor, audio editor and is a company founder of theater simple!
He has thoroughly enjoyed “experiencing the people and spirit of Indians, Pennsylvania as well as interviewing people and working with IUP students!”
With favorite birthday treat of tiramisu, Andrew is so looking forward to performing in front of a live (if small and outdoors) audience!
