Join us for the next Indiana County Potters Tour, on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, 2026!

Every year the potters of Indiana County coordinate a tour that is held the third weekend in October. They clean up their studios, wash the clay off their hands, proudly put their work on display, and warmly invite the public to visit their workplace and to learn about the life of a potter and what inspires their work.

Nancy Smeltzer is the owner of Little Mahoning Creek Pottery in the popular, country village of Smicksburg, PA. Her studio is functionally rustic and filled with her thrown pieces, bird figures, and reminders of nature. Fascinated by the way fire, ash and salt embellish her work, she likes to envision her pieces on the table or in the hand, celebrating the everyday ritual of eating and drinking. She'll host several guests and have live demos during this year's Indiana County Potters Tour 2025 (Pennsylvania).
