Wapsie Valley Creamery is seeking a part time Lab Tech to work 2 - 3 half days during the summer months and every other Saturday. Going into the fall, this would be every other Saturday. This would be a great opportunity for a High School student (16 yo or older). Stop by 905 5th Ave NE, Independence to complete an application.

Flag Day - June 14 the Capt. D.S. Lee Mansion has extended hours today. Stop by until 3pm. We need volunteers - can you help? The Buchanan Co. Master Gardeners are busy in the Victorian Garden to the S. of the mansion. Thanks!

June 14 - Flag Day. The Oakwood Cemetery Restoration Brigade had a tour of the cemetery Saturday - thanks to those who attended and 'gleaned info' from all the Brigade committee. People understand all the work behind restorations. Some cleaned or learned how while the group was there. The brigade works every Saturday 9am during the summer months.
