Wapsie CLAM

Sorry to say the Wapsie CLAM is no longer in business. I thank all the vendors for having your merchandise in my store, and wish things would have sold better.

The store will remain open through January on reduced hours. All shelves and fixtures will be sold. These include movable slat wall shelves, 4 ft shelves that attach to wall anchors, and other miscellaneous shelves and hangers.

Lots of fall and halloween decorations in the store! All made by local individuals. Remember, when you buy from the CLAM, 100% of the proceeds go back into members of the local community. Great prices too! The large (3' tall) "Harvest Thyme" pumpkin signs are only $22. There are shelves, large chalkboards, and many other items that are only $20 as well.

Save the pumpkin for the pie! Check out these cool Halloween decorations. Boxes light up and glow just like a jack-o-lantern. Also, many quilts and table runners in the store. Fall patterns, sports teams, many to choose from.

The Wapsi CLAM will be closed this Thursday through Saturday (17th-19th) as I am traveling out of state. We will reopen as normal on Tuesday the 22nd.

Big weekend of fundraisers for the Indee bark park. Friday evening at the Sanity Room D'z Guys and Brian Elzey will be playing acoustic tunes. There is a Fender acoustic guitar at the Sanity Room right now that you can purchase raffle tickets for ($5 per ticket). Saturday morning there will be dog portraits at the farmers market. Bring your pup and get a pic taken! Then on Sunday at the Falcon Civic Center there is a vendor fair. Over 20+ local vendors will be there selling all sorts of items like Scentsy, Pampered Chef, Lularoe, etc.

Over 60% of the money needed for the dog park has been raised. Let's have a great turnout at these events and turn that 60% into 100%!!!

A couple cool additions to the CLAM inventory. Wood Burned clocks, $25. And just in time for football season, a Cyclone and Hawkeye table runner, only $15.

Want to win a Fender acoustic guitar? Raffle tickets are being sold right now at the Sanity Room for a Fender acoustic. Tickets are only $5, and 100% of the proceeds go to the construction of the Indee Dog Park. The drawing will take place in the 10 o' clock hour on Friday, Aug 11th during the Sanity Room dog park fundraiser.

Here's some new arrivals at the CLAM. Driftwood coat hanger, only $20. Cool "saw" cane, very comfortable. Many hanging kitchen towels, only $3.50. Magnetic "celebrate" board, only $10. Cool "sun-moon" clock, $25. And remember, everything in the CLAM is made by local people, with profits going back into the local economy.

I'm on the committee that's raising money for a dog park here in Independence. All of the funds for the park are being raised through donations. So far we have raised around $6,000 (which is a quarter of what is needed to open the park). For people who would like to donate, here are a couple cool ways to donate. Starting at $100, you can get a personalized brick that will be laid in the walkway leading to the entrance of the park. Great way to show your support, or memorialize a relative or pet.
Also, you can pre-register for you dog park pass. If you pre-register, you will get an 18 month pass (instead of 12 months). This will also help generate funds so the dog park can be built and opened more quickly.

Check out some new stuff that just arrived at the CLAM. Some wall shelves made from pallets and barn wood. Cool driftwood coat hangers (only $20). The "saw" cane is very unique and surprisingly comfortable. Fits much better in the hand than tradition rounded canes. Also a lot of new crocheted scarves, towels, hats, rugs, and tons of baby booties and hats. Even some red, white, and blue designs for the Fourth of July! Everything is hand made, and very reasonably priced.
