EvenStart has been busy helping students and families all summer! Thank you to our Early Childhood educators who take such good care of our youngest learners!

Thank you to Dollar General Literacy Foundation for our 2026 summer reading grant! Funding received will support our POSSE Summer Learning Program at Idabel Primary South! Each student received two books to add to their home libraries!

Ms. Conni, Ms. Ida and Ms. Jessica have been busy handing out books to our community! They gave out 400 books at the Choctaw summer food distribution and at least 300 books on Friday at the WalMart parking lot. Thanks to the OCLSD Grant, we've got books to spare! Watch out for the Idabel Public Schools' Mobile Library near you!

Idabel Central Elementary's POSSE students were able to visit the Museum of the Red River! They learned about fossils and prehistory, and even got to visit Oklahoma's own dinosaur, Acro!

Ms. Shannon Pond's career exploration students work on their prototype products. Look at the engagement!

21CCLC Idabel Expanded Learning students visited the Idabel Public Library to participate in the Craft-Tech Connect. The children made a Dino Eye using craft sticks and yarn.

Idabel Central Elementary's Summer Learning third grade students recently visited the Choctaw Cultural Center in Calera, Oklahoma. The Choctaw Cultural Center is dedicated to exploring, preserving, and showcasing the culture and history of the Choctaw people from the Chahta perspective. Idabel Expanded Learning students at IMS enjoyed a visit with OSU Extension's Hannah Wetzel, as they learned helpful food tips at the Kik It Up (Kids in the Kitchen) program!
