🌙 Fasting the Day of Ashura
The Day of Ashura is a day of great significance in Islam — a day when Allah saved the Children of Israel from Fir’awn.
When the Prophet ﷺ came to Madinah, he found the Jews fasting on this day. Upon learning its reason, he said:
“I have more right to Musa than you have.”
The Prophet ﷺ then fasted on this day and encouraged Muslims to fast it as well.
