Battalion 20 establishing command. Mutual aid responding from North Richland Hills and Richland Hills.

UPDATE: S.H. 183 and the access road have been reopened.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Only one eastbound lane of S.H. 183 is open, between the Central Drive and Industrial exits, this morning due to a fatality accident. In addition, the eastbound access road is shut down between Westpark Way and Industrial. However, all off ramps are open at this time.

This closure will last the next couple of hours (through morning rush hour traffic) while accident investigators and first responders are on-scene. This will cause major traffic delays so please avoid the area, if possible.

Noisy storms moving through the Mid-Cities this morning, nothing severe at this time, but could see some strong to severe storms as the morning progresses on.

Main threats with any strong/severe storms would be hail, gusty winds and the potential for some localized flooding.

We are attempting to locate a missing person who was last seen in the 4600 block of SH 183 in Irving on February 2. We urge everyone to be on the lookout to help locate Chalice Welch, and anyone with information is asked to call the Irving Police Department at (972) 273-1010.

Major Accident w/Entrapment (Grapevine) Grapevine FD is working a major accident involving an entrapment in the eastbound lanes of the 1800 block of E State Highway 114. Engine 1 on scene reporting a single-vehicle rollover with a confirmed entrapment, extrication in progress. Battalion 1 requesting an additional medic unit respond. Expect heavy delays in the area.
