A SMALL HELP BUT A BIG IMPACT
: LET US CONTINUE TO SUPPORT
A Gala Dinner-2026 was organized by Development for Peace International on June 13, 2026, at a Nepali Restaurant in Irving, TX, to raise funds for Ganga Jamuna Women Development Agriculture Cooperative -Mountain Women Farmers' Organization in Bhummikasthan Municipality -9 Dhikura, Arghakhanchi, Lumbini Province, Nepal
The event was highly successful in raising the targeted amount of NRS 8 Lacs. The money was sent to the Women Farmer’s Organization to construct physical facilities like an office room, training hall, store room, etc.
They had started to construct those physical facilities when they were assured of the financial assistance from DFP International.
Now, the construction of the physical facilities has been completed with the final touch of painting of the building, etc.
It is a remarkable activity of people of Nepali origin living in DFW, Texas, USA, supporting an agricultural cooperative run by women farmers in Nepal
Now, the women farmers are so enthusiastic to produce ginger and turmeric powder that can be exported to foreign countries, including the USA.
It is an example of how a small help from people of Nepali origin living outside Nepal can encourage the disadvantaged people in Nepal to produce more and export.
Let everybody come forward to help those women farmers in the coming days.
Thanks to all the participants, supporting organizations, and sponsors who helped in raising the funds.
