'Twas the night before camp and all through Project Play,

The staff were still prepping for the very first day.

The goggles were stacked by the splash zone with care,

In hopes that 200+ campers soon would be there.

The chickens were settled, the garden was still,

While ice cream trucks, petting zoos, and camp dreams waited to fill.

The crafts were all organized, the supplies tucked away,

Ready for little hands to create, build, and play.

And while the building sits quiet tonight,

We know by tomorrow it will be buzzing with delight.

Teachers’ Night Out 🎉

A sweet farewell to another beautiful school year! So grateful for the women who helped make Project Play so special this year.

Ending this school year with full hearts and so much gratitude for Mrs. Schumann, Mrs. Gore, Dr. Shelley, Ms. Kylie, Mrs. Taylor, Ms. Runne, Ms. Kyra and Mrs. Ingram!!

Five years ago, Project Play was just beginning with six students, big dreams, and a vision for something different. Mrs. Taylor took a chance on it all before anyone else did. She was our very first teacher, and over the last five years, she has helped shape Project Play into what it is today. 🤍

From the very beginning, she brought warmth, creativity, and so much love to every child who walked through our doors. She has been part of countless first days, friendships, milestones, muddy shoes, dance parties, growing pains and magical childhood memories.

It is impossible to put into words how much of Project Play’s story has her fingerprints on it.

While we are so sad to see her chapter here come to an end as she transitions into teaching Kindergarten in BISD. We are so incredibly grateful for the years, heart, and dedication she poured into this place and these children.

Mrs. Taylor, thank you for helping build the heart of Project Play. You will always be part of our story. 🤍

And just like that… another school year comes to a close 🤍

Every single year I find myself wondering how we could possibly top the year before and somehow, every year, we do. The teachers, the children, the families, the growth, the memories… this year was truly something special.

There is so much love poured into this little place we call home and we leave this school year feeling nothing but gratitude.

Thank you for trusting us with your children. It is truly one of the greatest honors. ✨
