The glamorous side of art festival…washing the dust off of everything after the show 😂 Monte Sano Art Festival was fantastic, and thank you all for coming out and enduring the unseasonably warm temps. I appreciate everyone’s support this year and over the many years I’ve been working as an artist. Lots of original pieces, calendars, and prints found homes, and I am so grateful. There were even some tears of joy ❤️Thank you to Arts Huntsville for all you do. Everything is always so organized, and everyone is so helpful. We shall see what the future holds!

All set up for tomorrow! Thankfully there was a nice cool breeze on the mountain today. I love the new 8” x 8” size I used for the cat calendar art this year. I am torn about trying to sell the blue jay in the bottom left corner of the 2nd photo. I see Steve as a blue jay, because one hung around our house and would stare at me through the kitchen window right after I lost him. I don’t see them very often, but there’s been one out in my yard the last 2 mornings. And then it was the last 8x8 to get hung because I couldn’t find it. Sign? Wishful thinking? I don’t know. As with all things, it’s what you choose to believe.

Car is packed and ready for Monte Sano. I can’t believe how hot it’s gonna be this weekend. What’s really wild is that this might be the last Monte Sano for me. I’ll begin a new journey as a part-time Systems Design Engineer intern at Torch Technologies in a little over a week. I am so thankful for this opportunity, but it is bittersweet for so many reasons. I hope to see you up on the mountain this weekend! And if you can’t make it to this one, I’ll be at River Clay in Decatur in October.
