Continuing my Black History Month series where I’m reimagining the most iconic roles in cinema with Black leads. Today, we’re going back to 1980, to the shores of Camp Crystal Lake, with a new look at the original slasher: Pamela Voorhees.

This February, I’m celebrating by giving my favorite childhood classics a "remix." I’m taking iconic titles and reimagining them with African American leads to show that our magic fits into every genre from horror to high-society drama to classic musicals.
