IGOR CHEREPINSKY, CHIEF ENGINEER, AUTONOMY PROGRAMS, SIKORSKY AIRCRAFT CORPORATION
IGOR CHEREPINSKY BEGAN HIS SIKORSKY CAREER IN 1998 AS A FLIGHT CONTROLS ENGINEER ON THE BLACK HAWK PLATFORM. IGOR BECAME ALGORITHMS LEAD FOR UH-60M DUAL DIGITAL FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM AND LATER LED THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE UH-60M UPGRADE FLY-BY-WIRE SYSTEM THAT DEMONSTRATED LEVEL 1 HANDLING QUALITIES IN DEGRADED VISUAL ENVIRONMENTS DURING TESTING. IN 2009, IGOR LED DESIGN OF THE MANNED/UNMANNED AERIAL LIFTER, AN AUGMENTATION TO THE UH-60MU AIRCRAFT TO ALLOW UNMANNED CARGO RESUPPLY. MOST RECENTLY, IGOR WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE AUTONOMOUS MISSION MANAGER AND FLIGHT DEMONSTRATIONS FOR SIKORSKY AUTONOMY RESEARCH AIRCRAFT. IGOR HOLDS A BACHELOR OF SCIENCE DEGREE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, A BACHELOR OF SCIENCE DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, AND A MASTER OF SCIENCE DEGREE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, ALL FROM POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY. IGOR IS ALSO A THREE TIME RECIPIENT OF THE MEAD MEDAL, UTCS HIGHEST AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN ENGINEERING AND SCIENCE.
