That's a wrap!

SPA's team attended the three-day 2025 Air, Space, and Cyber Symposium in National Harbor, MD. They had numerous engagements with military and industry leaders, providing several live demonstrations that showcased our innovative software technology, AthenaSight and ArcherEye. They even had a special guest appearance from a member of the SPA Puppy Fleet.

This year's theme? “Winning Tomorrow: Unlocking Mission Success Through Innovation and Efficiency.”

Yesterday, SPA sent more than 25 employees to attend the 2025 Women in Defense National Conference in Arlington, VA. This event was a tremendous opportunity for networking, innovating, and learning for those in the defense community. The day included a Young Professionals’ Panel, where attendees gained insight into the experiences of their peers in the industry. Multiple breakout sessions covered topics ranging from Navigating Other Transaction Authority to mentorship and emerging technologies reshaping national security. Keynote speakers motivated all attendees in the room.

SPA was honored to sponsor this event with such a strong focus on bringing industry leaders together to drive toward mission success. The team is already looking forward to next year’s event!

SPA leadership and employees hosted a STEM fest in partnership with the Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC) at Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School. The event featured several activities, including the reading of "Ada Twist," a story about a curious child eager to explore the world of science. Students engaged in Speedometry, which encourages learning STEM concepts through hands-on inquiry play. There was also a raffle for SPA-branded matchbox cars and a variety of snacks. Our future is looking bright with these young intellectual superstars, and our SPA team thoroughly enjoyed spending time among some of this next generation.

The mission of MCEC is to assist children growing up in military families by providing them, their parents, and professionals with programs, resources, and guidance—helping the child stay on course academically, socially, and emotionally.

Today marks the 78th birthday of the United States Air Force (USAF). Founded on September 18, 1947, the USAF remains the world's premier air force, whose mission is "Aim High. Fly. Fight. Win."

SPA thanks our nation's Airmen of all specialties who stand behind their oath to defend the freedom we enjoy today.

As space becomes a more congested warfighting domain, the U.S. Space Force must secure national interests in, from, and to space. These three prepositions define how we compete in today's "Space Race."

Members of SPA’s Integrated Warfare Systems Group participated in the Naval Sea Systems Command’s (NAVSEA) Remembrance Run/Walk on September 16 to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the tragic events at the Washington Navy Yard in 2013. Alongside the NAVSEA community, SPA paid tribute to the 12 lives lost, their families, and their colleagues, and is grateful to have been part of this impactful remembrance event. Thank you to the SPA group and all participants who supported this event.

SPA honors and remembers Michael Arnold, Martin Bodrog, Arthur Daniels, Sylvia Frasier, Kathy Gaarde, John Roger Johnson, Mary Francis Knight, Frank Kohler, Vishnu Pandit, Kenneth Bernard Proctor, Gerald L. Read, and Richard Michael Ridgell.

Testing space systems in orbit is costly, constrained, and risky. Yet readiness in space cannot be theoretical. In a contested domain where launch cycles are long and failure is expensive, the United States must validate its capabilities before they leave Earth.

In part three of his four-part Space Force series, SPA Group Lead Dave Meteyer explores the use of Modeling and Simulation tools like Digital Twins, live-virtual-constructive test environments, and mission-level simulations to reduce potential cost and overall risk.

When adversaries are fielding orbital threats in real time, readiness cannot be deferred.

SPA has purchased a 239,000 square foot, state-of-the-art office building and will undertake extensive renovations to create a modern, collaborative workspace for its employees.
