Who's excited about this weather today?! It's the perfect excuse to have lunch outdoors as we'll be nearly 10 degrees cooler than normal! Take advantage of this beautiful day because the weather pattern will shift by mid to late week, with heat, humidity, and rain returning to The Tennessee Valley.

⛈️ SPC has the majority of our area in a 'Marginal' risk (level 1/5) due the threat of strong to possibly severe storms this afternoon and evening. Strong gusty winds (potentially damaging), heavy rain (which could lead to flooding), hail, and lightning could accompany the strongest of storms.

⏰ This particular weather model shows a line of showers and storms pushing into Northwest AL around 1 p.m., and exiting Northeast AL around 6 p.m. Stay weather aware today as timing could fluctuate some.

A few lingering showers/storms will be possible tonight before drier, more comfortable air arrives on Monday. (We're talking upper 70s and low 80s for highs!)

I'm tracking a few showers out there this morning. Here's a look at a heavy downpour as seen from our Monte Sano camera, accompanied by a rainbow! 🌈
Stay weather aware today! Showers and storm chances increase this afternoon.
