RCB Family,

We want to take a moment to recognize a huge weekend for Rocket City Boxing and the people who continue to represent this gym at a high level.

First, we are extremely proud of Bradley and Sydney for stepping into the ring at the National Golden Gloves.

Bradley blazed the trail all the way to the finals, showing toughness, discipline, and the kind of competitive spirit that represents Rocket City Boxing the right way. Making it to the finals on a national stage is a major accomplishment, and we are proud of the work he put in to get there.

Sydney won her first match with a dominant performance. Unfortunately, due to injury, she was unable to continue competing after that day.

We also want to congratulate Brad Ginn, who was inducted into the International Masters Boxing Hall of Fame. That is a major honor and a reflection of the years of work, commitment, and impact he has had as a fighter in the boxing community. We are proud to have him connected to our program and our mission.

And to top it off, I received a call from Jay Deas, longtime coach of Deontay Wilder, letting me know that our own Miguel “Floyd” Spells, our 15-year-old 132 lb fighter, will be recognized as Boxer of the Year.

That is big.

Miguel has been putting in the work, staying consistent, and continuing to grow as a young fighter. Recognition like this does not happen by accident. It comes from discipline, sacrifice, coaching, support, and a team standard that pushes everyone to get better.

This weekend was another reminder that Rocket City Boxing is not just a gym. We are building something real. We are developing fighters, leaders, and a culture that can compete and be recognized at every level.

Thank you to every coach, parent, athlete, and supporter who continues to believe in the mission.

The work continues.
