I always look forward to the Cheerio Challenge every April. There’s just something different about a race that’s right here at home.
No hour-long drive.
Just five minutes down the road to a place we already know, Legion Field…where so many of our runs, workouts, and family moments happen.
And as a small business owner, let me say this… $25 to vend?!
How do you say no to that?
Now here’s the twist, you can’t sell at this event.
And honestly… I love that.
Because it shifts everything.
It’s not about transactions.
It’s about people.
It’s seeing familiar faces from the run club.
It’s meeting walkers, runners, families, and yes—even the dogs.
It’s conversations about your last race, your next race, or just life.
It’s hugs, laughs, and real connection.
Most of my events are about selling socks.
This one is about community.
And that’s why it’s one of my favorites.
Huge thank you to the YMCA and the Cheerio Challenge committee for putting on the 25th year of this race.
What a gift to Covington.
And thank YOU to everyone who stopped by my booth, grabbed a cold towel, and entered the giveaway.

Let’s talk about Valencia 🔥👏🏾
This beauty really ran the Publix FULL Marathon on March 1st…
and then turned around and ran the Chattahoochee Road Race 10K this past weekend like it was light work 😮💨
And of course… she showed up looking MODEL-ish in her red + white Ambitious Compression Socks ❤️🤍
