💙✨Reflections: A Fireside Chat presented by The Disability Resource Network’s Annual Fundraiser was an absolute success. Each year during July, which is Disability Pride Month, we bring a disability advocate with a lived experienced with a disability to our community to share their story as they reflect on how living with a disability has impacted their lives and influenced others.

Our premier event commenced with an inspiring social hour, bringing together our valued guests, dedicated staff, corporate sponsors, and distinguished honorees to connect, socialize, and align for our collective future.We were profoundly honored to welcome our keynote speaker, Dom Kelly, who masterfully shared his deeply moving life story of living with a disability and the visionary creation of New Disabled South.

This high-stature conversation was expertly moderated by Tamika Alexander of WHNT 19, sparking vital dialogue.A hallmark moment of the afternoon was celebrating our extraordinary 2026 Scholarship Recipients, Wendell Odom Jr. and Ethan Hughes.Proceeds raised from this event will be directly injected into our core mission: empowering individuals with disabilities and expanding our vital Independent Living Services throughout the community.

Thank you to everyone who stepped into our circle to champion absolute inclusion, accessibility, and sovereign independence. The work continues. 🌟✨
